Frank Sellingsloh

I teach AI the way I use it: inside businesses that have to keep running on Monday.

I am a German entrepreneur in Tenerife. I have been developing education programmes in Puerto de la Cruz for 25 years. My working day now spans language courses, professional training and online learning, alongside food service, accommodation and coworking.

AI helps me test ideas faster, develop content and build tools for everyday work. I can now get projects done that I would once have left on the list. At AIKIA Labs, I share how I work with AI and where my own judgement still matters.

Why AIKIA Labs exists

I use AI every day in my work as an entrepreneur. It helps me develop ideas and take on projects I previously wouldn't have had the time or means to carry out. That's how AIKIA Labs came about: I share what I learn and help others discover and use the possibilities of AI in their own work.

Where I use AI day to day

I develop offers, work on marketing and improve processes with my teams. The tasks range from teaching to communicating with guests.

  • Education: FU International Academy, Let's Speak Spanish and Learning in the Sun. Language courses on site and online, plus professional training.
  • Hospitality and family activities: FU Café and miniFU, with café service, events, an indoor playground and children's birthday parties.
  • Coworking: Coworking in the Sun, a workspace for independent professionals and international visitors.
  • Accommodation: a hostel in Tenerife, with the day-to-day work of bookings, organisation and guest communication.

How I teach

  • Small groups, five days in person. I teach Digital Classroom alongside Darija. My team and I teach Digital Marketing together.
  • You work on your own material from the first morning, not on a demo case.
  • We check AI results and revise them together.
  • Every course ends with a written plan for the weeks after you leave.
  • GDPR and the EU AI Act are part of the course, not a disclaimer at the end.

The name

AIKIA holds the abbreviation for artificial intelligence in the three languages I work in: AI in English, KI in German, IA in Spanish. Five letters, three markets, one method.
